Values and beliefs about Oregon’s forests and forest practices is the subject of research now under way by OFRI and the Oregon Department of Forestry. Every four years, OFRI conducts similar research as a means of gauging public knowledge and attitudes about forests and forestry and to help OFRI develop more effective programs. The research also helps OFRI measure the effectiveness of its existing landowner, K-12 and public outreach programs.
We want to know what you think. By taking ten minutes or so responding to this confidential survey, you can help OFRI with its future programs.

| Julie Woodward named OSAF Forester of the Year |

|
OFRI’s Rediscovery Forest Education Specialist Julie Woodward was awarded Forester of the Year by the Oregon Society of American Foresters at their annual awards banquet earlier this month.
The Forester of the Year award is presented annually to a member of the Oregon Society in recognition of their contributions to both the profession and the public. Award winners are recognized to have applied their professional skills to the advancement of forestry in Oregon and through public service that benefits the local community or some larger segment of society.
Congratulations to Julie for her years of outstanding service to OFRI, OSAF and forestry education throughout Oregon.
