Purpose Agenda Register
 
The goals of this three-phased Oregon Family Forestlands Symposium are:
  • Explore the importance of family forestlands to Oregon
  • Discuss Oregon’s changing forestry environment in the context of family forestlands
  • Identify issues that affect the management of family forestlands
  • Develop action plans to address priority issues relevant to family forestlands
 
Phase 1: Pre-Symposium Regional Roundtables
Regional roundtables will be held prior to the symposium to update family forestland owners and to identify issues that are important in different areas of the state.
These roundtables have all been completed. Thank you to all those who participated.
 
 
 
Phase 2: OSWA Annual Meeting
April 26, 2007
"Beyond Sustainability - Enhancing Our Woodland Neighborhoods."

As members of the Association of Oregon Family Woodland Owners prepare to engage with other symposium participants you are invited to experience the Best of Benton County.  The annual meeting will be held in the The Benton County Clubhouse in Adair Village.  Activities include:

Phase 3: Family Forestlands Symposium
April 27-28, 2007

The 2007 Oregon Family Forestlands Symposium, an activity of the Committee for Family Forestlands, advisory committee of the Oregon Board of Forestry, is designed to gather and share information about the role of family forestlands and to stimulate dialogue between family forest landowners, the public, conservationists, civic leaders, industrial forest landowners and other Oregonians.  The 2007 Oregon Family Forestland Symposium is designed to assist the committee in carrying out its function.
